Alpacas are fantastic animals to keep and a joy to live with. At the end of the day though, they are farmed livestock and we are keeping them for their justly famed fleece.
Here at Pistyll Gwyn Alpacas we prepare the fleece, and turn it into usable products by careful hand processes, and as such everything that you can buy here is unique - no two fleeces are ever exactly the same, no handspun yarn is exactly like another, and no naturally dyed batt will be the exact same shade as another from a later batch.
At the moment we are concentrating on handmade alpaca batts (carded fibre) for handspinners, although we do occasionally have some other goods - alpaca yarns, woven alpaca goods, knitted alpaca goods, and alpaca fleece for sale too.
We are happy to consider spinning and weaving commissions - if we've got the time and means we will usually do it!
